John V. Knaus, DO FACS

Dr. John V. Knaus is a board certified gynecologist-obstetrician who is a fellowship trained specialist in the field of Gynecologic Oncology. He graduated from Kansas City University of Medicine and was a Major in the US Air Force.

He is a medical journal consultant for the American Journal Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has written three textbooks and has numerous publications. He is the Chairman of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Francis Hospital as well as the Residency Program Director and Chief in the Division Gynecologic Oncology.

He is currently a clinical professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Illinois. He was Governor of the American College of Surgeons and currently resides on the National Breast Cancer Task Force committee.
