John Leyland, MD

Dr. John Leyland is a board-certified urologist who graduated from Northwestern University School of Medicine in 1997. His surgical and urologic residency was completed at the Medical College of Ohio in 2003, where he received additional training and certification in kidney transplantation.

After completing residency, he entered practice in Oak Park, Il where he quickly became recognized as an expert in minimally invasive treatment of benign prostate enlargement and kidney stones. He has authored textbook chapters on the use of lasers in urology, and has mentored and lectured widely on the subject. 

Dr. Leyland is a member of the American Urological Association and the Endourologic Society, as well as the Illinois State medical Society and Chicago medical society. He is an attending urologist caring for patients at West Suburban Medical Center, MacNeal Hospital, and Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.
