Nitin Sharma, MD

Dr. Nitin Sharma is a board certified urologist. Dr. Sharma graduated with distinction from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor in 2006. He subsequently spent a year doing cancer research at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland prior to enrolling in medical school at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York.

He then completed 2 years of general surgery followed by 4 years of urology at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City where he served as Chief Resident in his final year. Dr. Sharma most recently completed a 1-year minimally invasive surgery and endourology fellowship at the University of Florida.

Dr. Sharma’s clinical interests include minimally invasive surgery of the prostate and kidney. He is certified and experienced with the da Vinci® Robot Surgical System as well as the latest technologies to surgically treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and urinary stone disease. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters within the field of urology and is a current member of the American Urological Association and Endourological Society.

Dr. Sharma will see all general urological patients in practice and will have operative privileges at West Suburban Medical Center, Rush University Oak Park, MacNeal Hosptal, and Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.
