Vuthik Chhay, PA-C, DMSc

Vuthik (Teak) Chhay, PA-C, DMSc, is a Physician Assistant specializing in surgical oncology at Metro Chicago Surgical Oncology, LLC. He delivers patient-centered care as part of a multidisciplinary urology and oncology team, with a clinical focus on surgical oncology, perioperative care, and patient education. Board-certified, he ensures high-quality intraoperative assistance and guides patients to feel informed and confident throughout treatment.

Vuthik earned his Doctor of Medical Science from Southern Illinois University. He completed his Physician Assistant Studies at Malcolm X College/Cook County Hospital PA program. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Medical Sociology from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, where he was a member of the gymnastics team for four years. He is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Illinois Academy of Physician Assistants.

At MCSO, Vuthik collaborates with surgeons and healthcare professionals to evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with complex oncologic conditions. He is responsible for patient assessments, post-operative care, and guiding patients and families through treatment. With a focus on clinical excellence, Vuthik builds supportive relationships with patients and drives positive outcomes.

In his free time, Vuthik enjoys running, fishing, hiking, and following his beloved Cubs. His greatest enjoyment comes from watching his children play baseball and basketball.
